Host Boyd Exell and Lars Schwitte won the four-in-hand and pairs event respectively at DVI Valkenswaard. Although there was thunder in the air, the weather gods were on DVI’s side during the cones competition.
During the marathon a 100 meter track was marked in the B-phase, the so-called ‘Sandmann Sprint’. The time was recorded and the fastest pair and four-in-hand drivers received a special prize offered by Sandmann Transporte.
The third edition of Driving Valkenswaard International started this morning at 10 am with the dressage competition for horse pairs. Twenty-six drivers from eight countries entered the beautiful dressage arena at the Exell Equestrian facilities,
The Nations Cup for Four-in-hand horses will take place this year in Valkenswaard 23rd – 27th May. National teams will compete against each other during Driving Valkenswaard International (DVI) on the grounds of Exell Equestrian in Valkenswaard.
In 2016, Driving Valkenswaard International successfully hosted the inaugural edition of the Pro-Am Challenge, where a ‘Pro’ four-in-hand driver was paired with an ‘Amateur’ four-in-hand driver.
