The Nations Cup for Four-in-hand horses will take place this year in Valkenswaard 23rd – 27th May. National teams will compete against each other during Driving Valkenswaard International (DVI) on the grounds of Exell Equestrian in Valkenswaard.
In 2016, Driving Valkenswaard International successfully hosted the inaugural edition of the Pro-Am Challenge, where a ‘Pro’ four-in-hand driver was paired with an ‘Amateur’ four-in-hand driver.
Today’s marathon at Driving Valkenswaard International took place under wonderful weather circumstances. A large number of spectators had flocked to the site of Exell Equestrian to enjoy wonderful and exciting combined driving sport at the highest level.
The dressage for the horse teams started this morning at 11.00 in pouring rain at Exell Equestrian in Valkenswaard. Luckily the sun came out in the afternoon and the spectators could watch some beautiful dressage tests in the sunshine.

Only one of the 243 competing horses at the second edition of Driving Valkenswaard International received the sign ‘not fit to compete’ this evening from the veterinarians and the international Ground Jury.
A competition for harness horses will be held during the break in the Cones Driving on Sunday 12 June at Driving Valkenswaard International. The judges of this class are none other than the American four-in-hand driver Misdee Wrigley-Miller and the famous harness maker and driver Henk van der Wiel.
